NGOs & Governance
CRGP is kicking off a major new research study. The objective of the study is to model the activation and mobilization of transnational, national, and sectoral NGOs, and local political groups in infrastructure development projects, and to make recommendations to improve the governance of these projects when interests and institutions are conflicted. The study will initially focus on two project sectors: water projects, and trans-national pipeline projects.

"...fuzzy set analysis is a good bit more sophisticated and powerful than the boolean approach described in THE COMPARATIVE METHOD, but it also demands a lot more of the researcher in terms of theoretic rigor and empirical knowledge of his/her cases. Fortunately, we don't have to make this decision anytime soon."
