Vietnam's groups join hands to build highway

VietNamNet Bridge - Some big corporations of Vietnam plan to establish a company to build the 54.9km Cat Lai - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway to compete with the Vietnam Highway Investment and Development Corporation.

The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) on April 5 announced the Cat Lai - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway project. This is the project of an alliance of 11 local companies, which may be called the HCM City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Highway Joint Stock Company.

This company has the participation of big names in Vietnam such as the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam), Bitexco, Idico Urban and Industrial Zone Investment and Development Corporation, the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin), the Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT), the Song Da Corporation, the Vietnam Coal and Mining Group, the Ha Long Investment and Production Company and BIDV.
