Vattenfall In Exclusive German Grid Sale Talks

FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)--Vattenfall Europe AG, Germany's fourth largest utility, has started exclusive talks about the sale of its German ultra-high-voltage power transmission grid with a consortium of financial investors, several people familiar with the matter told Dow Jones Newswires Monday.

"An exclusivity agreement has been signed with the consortium comprising Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS), Allianz SE (AZ) and Deutsche Bank AG's (DB) infrastructure fund RREEF," one of the people said.
