UK: CBI Urges Export of PPP Expertise

The government needs to seize the opportunity to promote the British public-private partnership (PPP) industry as international demand for expertise grows, according to the CBI.

In a new report launched today (Wednesday), the business group says a golden opportunity to promote a home-grown industry now exists. It says Secretary of State for Business & Enterprise John Hutton should work with business to develop the international market for British know-how before the UK's current lead in this field is lost.

John Cridland, CBI Deputy Director-General, said: "Britain has pioneered public-private partnerships and their proven track record in this country is reflected in the demand for British expertise abroad.
