South Asian economies poised to become 'new tigers', says ADB

MANILA, OCT 19: Removal of bottlenecks, improved infrastructure and better quality of regulation will help South Asian economies emerge as the 'new tigers', an Asian Development Bank report has said.

ADB's South Asia Economic Report (SAER) said that South Asian economies posted stellar growth in 2005, registering higher growth than their Southeast Asian peers in the past five years, a trend expected to continue through 2007.
