SBI, Macquarie to sponsor $2 b India Infrastructure Fund

MUMBAI: State Bank of India and Macquarie Capital Group on Wednesday said they planned to set up a $2-billion fund that would invest in direct infrastructure investment opportunities in the country.

The International Finance Corporation, as one of the fund's cornerstone investors, would also have a stake in the proposed fund management company, a release issued here stated.
