Reps set to probe OBJ's $18bn rail project

THE House of Representatives is set to help the government of Nigeria revive the country's ailing rail system with promise of commitment to ensure the building of a new rail network across the country by the Federal Government.

As a prelude, the House would soon begin a thorough investigation into the huge sums spent by the Federal Government, between 1999 and 2007, on the rail transport system, with a view to determining the problems that have been plaguing the system, and hence, proffer practicable solutions.
