Viet Nam News Quan doi Nhan dan (People's Army) newspaper spoke with Dr Le Quoc Ly, director of the Ministry of Planning and Investment's Finance and Monetary Department, about ways to draw more investment into infrastructure projects. Infrastructure development is necessary for the country's industrialisation and moder-nisation. How should the investment structure of economic sectors change in order to be more in line with the market economy? Socialisation is a new Government policy aimed at attracting more investment from all economic sectors and foreign investors. At present, the Ministry of Planning and Investment is working in a project called "Socialising Infrastructure" in order to lure investment from all sectors to develop the country's infrastructure, even sensitive areas like electricity, water supply and road construction.
