Public Disclosure of China Export-Import Bank Environmental Policy

Pacific Environment is pleased to facilitate the first public disclosure of the environmental policy of the China Export-Import Bank (China Exim Bank).

Background: On Friday, April 13, 2006, China Exim Bank Chairman, Li Ruogu delivered a keynote address at the US Export-Import Bank Annual Meeting in Washington DC. Following the address, Pacific Environment's Policy Director, Doug Norlen, spoke briefly with Chairman Li to request that he release for public use China Exim Bank's heretofore undisclosed environmental policy. Chairman Li agreed, and after follow-up correspondence, on April 28, 2007 China Exim Bank provided Pacific Environment with a copy of the environmental policy (below).
