Private equity giant KKR eyes troubled Babcock & Brown

US private equity predator Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts (KKR) may explore having a tilt at besieged global investment group Babcock & Brown.

It is understood KKR has yet to run the ruler over Babcock, but speculation is growing that the group may have a hard look after Babcock's position with its 25 bankers becomes clearer in the next couple of weeks.
