Private-public partnership: Financing facility for projects established in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The ministry of finance has established an Infrastructure Project Financing Facility (IPFF) to provide finance for Private-Public Partnership (PPP) projects on commercial terms based on prudent banking principles.

This facility will build its capacity over time and will endeavor to raise capital from capital markets to augment private sector financing. This company will play the role of a catalyst to bring private sector investment in to infrastructure, an official at ministry of finance told on Wednesday.
