Principal launches sub-Saharan infrastructure fund

LONDON (Reuters) - South African investment group Principal Capital Holdings said on Thursday it had launched a fund to invest in sub-Saharan infrastructure as European property investors look further afield in their global hunt for yield.

PME African Infrastructure Opportunities, which will be listed on the UK's AIM market, sold $180 million of shares to investors keen to gain a foothold on the continent, Principal Capital said in a statement.
