CALGARY _ Canada's pipeline industry is urging the government bring more certainty to the investment environment as the sector plans to spend as much as $80 billion on new infrastructure.

It should be a "no-brainer" to approve and build new pipe to supply North America's growing need for energy, said Brenda Kenny, who took the helm of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association earlier this year.
