GLOBAL - Pension funds make up the highest proportion of investors in unlisted infrastructure funds, a study by Private Equity Intelligence (Preqin) has shown.

Pension schemes accounted for 52% of the overall investor universe, with public pension funds accounting for 31% of the total number of investors. Private sector pension funds were the second largest group accounting for 11%, while superannuation schemes represented 10% of all investors.
