NEW DELHI: Private equity fund raising in the infrastructure space literally dried up in the June quarter with no deals being announced, whereas an
amount of USD 14 billion was raised in the same period a year ago.
A global survey of 230 unlisted PE funds focused on infrastructure sector has showed that fund raising was zero in the second quarter of 2009. In the year-ago period, about 14 such funds raised USD 14 billion, according to international research firm Preqin.
