Morgan Stanley launches infrastructure mutual fund

NEW YORK, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley's investment management arm relaunched a mutual fund on Thursday that will focus on companies benefiting from what is expected to be massive investment in infrastructure by governments worldwide.

Last November, Morgan Stanley's utilities fund changed its name and adopted a new investment goal of directing 80 percent of fund assets into shares of publicly listed infrastructure companies. The Morgan Stanley Global Infrastructure Fund, which has been closed while these changes were made, was reopened to new U.S. investors.
