Macquarie to advise Cathay Securities on infrastructure fund

The Macquarie Group has announced that Macquarie Alternative Investments Limited is acting as a foreign advisor to Cathay Securities Investment Trust Co. Ltd. ("Cathay SITE") in relation to the Cathay Global Infrastructure Securities Fund. The Fund, which is managed by Cathay SITE, was launched today and will become Taiwan’s first fund investing in listed infrastructure securities around the world.

The Cathay Global Infrastructure Securities Fund ("the Fund") will have a global mandate to invest in listed companies that own or operate infrastructure, including power plants, water works, toll roads, airports, ports and communication facilities. The Fund will be offered by Cathay SITE to investors from December 14.
