March 9 (Bloomberg) -- Macquarie Bank Ltd., Bouygues SA and Alpine Mayreder Bau GmbH led separate applications to build a S$800 million ($490 million) national sports complex in Singapore, the largest such contract ever tendered by the city.
Singapore, with one Olympic medal to its name, plans to train up more athletes at the sports center, which will include a 55,000-capacity stadium, a swimming arena with 6,000 seats, as well as education, research and training centers.
