Kenya: China-Funded Road Project Kicks Off

President Mwai Kibaki is expected to formally launch a Sh1.52 billion road project expected to ease traffic congestion in Nairobi on Thursday.

The undertaking, funded by the Chinese Government, will cover expansion and repair works on roads linking Embakasi to Gigiri.

The launch will be attended by Mr Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body.
