IRCON signs $1-billion project contract with Malaysia

PUTRAJAYA (MALAYSIA): Indian Railways firm IRCON International on Friday signed a $1 billion contract with Malaysia for developing railway infrastructure in the country.

"This has been a much awaited contract and we are very happy to have signed it with IRCON," Malaysian Transport Minister Ong Tee Keat told media after witnessing the signing along with India's Railways Minister Lalu Prasad in Putrajaya, Malaysia's administrative capital, 70 km out of Kuala Lumpur.
