Infrastructure fund to help development

FEDERAL spending on roads, rail, ports and communications will be consolidated into a new $20 billion fund designed to break the bottlenecks on Australia's economic development.

Infrastructure Minister Anthony Albanese said that at five business functions he attended last week the top issue raised was the need to build more infrastructure.
