India: 3000-km roads to be constructed with Rs 6067 cr

Bhopal, Apr 12: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the roads construction work should be completed in the prescribed time limit besides ensuring that the road repair works are taken up from time to time so that the movement of traffic could be facilitated in accordance with the aspirations of the people. Chouhan was presiding over a meeting of the board of directors of the Madhya Pradesh State Road Development Corporation here today. Sanction was accorded for construction of various roads at the meeting. It was decided at the meeting that roads measuring 3000 kilometres would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 6067 crore in the state this year.
