GUNNS said it was in a good position to pursue financing options for its proposed $2 billion Bell Bay pulp mill project.
But Gunns couldn't say when financial close on the project would be achieved, a company spokesman said today.
"Difficult to say how long it will take to bring the financial close to fruition given what's happening in world financial markets, but there's no doubt that we're now in a good position to continue to work on that," Gunns corporate relations manager Calton Frame said in an interview on ABC radio.
