Equipav-Bertin takes control of first hwy PPP - Brazil

Concessions firm Concessionaria da Rodovia MG-050, created by the Equipav-Bertin group, took control of the MG-050 highway in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais on May 29, local press reported.

The move marks the first public-private partnership (PPP) in the highway transport sector to have made it off the drawing board in Brazil.

The Equipav-Bertin group is to start work immediately on the restructuring of the 372km highway linking the Minas Gerais state capital Belo Horizonte with Sao Paulo state.
