East Africa: EADB, China Sign $30 Million Credit Line

The East African Development Bank and China Development Bank (CDB) have signed a US$30 million line of credit.

The signing follows an agreement on co-operation that the EADB signed with CDB on June 24, 2006.

This line of credit is expected to be opened before the end of the year.

In June, Chinese prime minister, Mr. Wen Jiabao visited Uganda on a whirlwind tour that took him across the African continent.
