Bangkok's new airport under investigation for corruption

Thailand's interim government has appointed deputy transport minister Sansern Woncha-um to lead an investigation into contracts related to construction of the new Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Bangkok Post newspaper says Suvarnabhumi has become a synonym for corruption and cronyism, not to mention the growing complaints of residents whose lives have been 'turned upside down' by the new airport.
