Source: Highway Africa News Agency (Grahamstown) By: Remmy Nweke, Geneva This was the position of the chief executive officer of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah in an address delivered at the on-going 'Connecting Rural Communities in Africa 2006' conference in Abuja. He noted that as the world and precisely the continent strives to achieve sustainable Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) development in rural areas, CTO believes that this partnership would significantly improve the socio-economic standards in the affected communities.
