AFN Calls for $3B Infrastructure Fund and Kelowna Accord in New Federal Budget

(CEP News) Ottawa - Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Phil Fontaine says the federal government should spend $3 billion of its much anticipated economic stimulus package on fixing First Nations infrastructure and implementing the $5.1 billion Kelowna Accord.

"Our plan is practical, achievable and it makes good economic sense for all Canadians," Fontaine said Thursday as he spoke at a press conference on Parliament Hill.
