Advent Int'l buys 6 airports in Dominican Republic

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic-Advent International says it has bought six airports in the Dominican Republic and is eyeing similar purchases in Mexico and other Latin American countries.

The Boston-based private equity company has not said how much the agreement was worth. It has created a company called Latin American Airport Holdings to run two airports in Santo Domingo, two in Samana, one in Puerto Plata and the other in Barahona.
