First State launches infrastructure fund to retail investors

First State Investments is set to launch its Listed Infrastructure Fund to UK retail and institutional investors at the end of September.

The First State Global Listed Infrastructure Fund will be managed by Peter Meany, head of global infrastructure securities, who will work alongside Andrew Greenup, portfolio manager.

The company said the launch highlights its "ambition to move away from competing within the crowded traditional asset classes and to provide more global and specialist products to the market".
