Vikas Kumar Appointed as Visiting Scholar

Vikas is Assistant Professor in the Strategic Management Institute, Department of Management at Bocconi University, Milan.

Vikas' research interests are in the areas of Internationalization, Emerging Market Firms, Emerging Markets, Business Groups, and Outsourcing/Offshoring. His work has been published in international business/management journals such as Management International Review, Journal of World Business, British Journal of Management, Thunderbird International Business Review, etc. He is co-guest editing a special issue on 'Offshoring and Outsourcing of High Value Company Functions' in the Journal of Management Studies. .

Vikas teaches International Business/Strategy courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He has also been involved in Executive training and teaching international management modules to Executive MBAs at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Vikas was the lead organizer of the conference on 'Offshoring and Outsourcing of High Value Company Functions' held on April 23-24 at SDA Bocconi, where over 60 scholars from around the world shared their latest research. Vikas is memeber of the Academy of International Business, Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, Offshoring Research Network, European International Business Academy, and the Academy of International Business (UK & Ireland Chapter). He has been a regular contributor to the above Academies as presenter, discussant, reviewer, session chair, and panel organizer. Vikas received the Best Reviewer Award for the International Management Division at the Academy of Management Conference, 2007.

Vikas has lived, worked and been educated in India, US, Europe, and brings his international experience to CRGP where he will be engaged in research projects dealing with the impact of institutional environments across different countries on firm international strategies.
