CRGP and CIFE have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ABEMI (ASSOCIACAO BRASILEIRA DE ENGENHARIA INDUSTRIAL) and UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense).

The MOU provides a basis for further discussions and cooperation between the four signatory institutions. The aim of the cooperation is to develop a joint research agenda, aligned with a new Center for Excellence that is being formed by Petrobras, the National Oil Company of Brazil, in concert with a number of organizations in the ABEMI business group, UFF, and other prominent international partners.

The research agenda is to focus on identifying international best practices and improving performance across a portfolio of business areas related to the construction of large, complex, oil platform projects developed to exploit off-shore oil reserves.
