CRGP Alumnus Rahinah Ibrahim Wins Gold Medal at Universiti Putra Malaysia Research and Innovation Exhibition 2006

Dr. Rahinah Ibrahim, an alumni from the CRGP research program, was awarded a Gold Medal at the University Putra Malaysia Research and Innovation Exhibition 2006. The exhibition was held from the 22nd-24th August 2006 in Kuala Lumpur.

Dr. Ibrahim's poster was titled "Searching for the source of the knowledge-loss phenomenon: Pioneering cross-disciplinary mixed-method research in the construction industry."

The judging at the competition was reportedly more difficult than in previous years, because the organizer, the Research Management Centre of UPM, only invited external industry members and academicians to serve as judges.

Dr. Ibrahim's presentation built on the foundational work laid out in her doctoral dissertation, "Discontinuity in Organizations: Impacts of Knowledge Flows on Organizational Performance".

Another indication of the success of Dr. Ibrahim's work is the large number of purchases of her dissertation. Last year alone, 80 purchases were made within 5 months of its publication on the Proquest system!
