CRGP Accepts New Ph.D Candidate

Stephan Jooste has accepted an offer from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University to commence Ph.D studies in Autumn 2007.

Stephan comes from South Africa where he has worked for several years as a Civil Engineer. Stephan holds degrees from the University of Pretoria including a B.Sc. Civil Engineering (2000) and a M.Sc. in the Management of Technology (2005).

Stephan has 6 years of intensive consulting experience in municipal Infrastructure development and project management.

For his Ph.D, Stephan plans to work with CRGP to study the sustainability of public infrastructure development projects in emerging countries such as South Africa.
