CRGP researcher Ashwin Mahalingam won the 'best paper' award at the CIB W92 International Symposium 'Construction Procurement - The impact of Cultural Differences and Systems on Construction Performance', in Las Vegas, Feb 8-10, 2005.

Ashwin's paper was co-authored with two professors on his Ph.D committee, Dr. W.Richard Scott in Sociology, and Dr. Ray Levitt in Civil Engineering, and was titled: 'Cultural Clashes in International Infrastructure Development Projects: Which Cultures Matter?'
