Caption: Surprisingly, although many scholars have studied international project management, the
global project concept has been slow to emerge. It is true, scholars have emphasized the pressures and challenges of project management in foreign markets; yet, there has been far less emphasis on the globalization of the projects themselves -- i.e. the increasingly diverse composition of project organizations and the dynamics that arise when social, political, economic and legal institutions are conflicted.
